Meet the Farmer

A passion for all things food and fungi led Jonathan Cox to creating Lowcountry Fungi in 2020 on Johns Island, SC. Jonathan has over 10 years experience in the Charleston food industry as the founder of One Love Kombucha. His interest in food began as a way to help manage his autoimmune conditions that later grew into the desire to help others connect with their bodies through food.

Our farm was created to serve and connect with the local Charleston community through gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. We work directly with the best chef’s in Charleston offering a wide range of seasonal and staple mushrooms for their menu’s. We also set-up weekly at the Sea Island Farmers Market where we offer fresh and dried mushrooms, grow kits and our newly released mushroom products.
